  • Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED & First Aid (Ages 13-Adult) - December

    Learn to recognize and provide care for emergency situations such as cardiac, stroke, bleeding, and learn about legal and safety issues. The certification is good for two years and meets course requirements for OSHA and Oklahoma Department of Human Services Childcare Division, adoption, and foster care. This is not a Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer certification course.

This social skills class for adults with developmental disabilities focuses on fostering effective communication, building relationships, and navigating social interactions confidently through game play, dancing, crafts, and more. Participants will learn valuable techniques to enhance their social abilities in a screen-free environment so they can thrive in various social settings. Parents are welcome to stay and play or take some time off for themselves! Students will attend a dance and even meet at a community coffee shop to practice their new skills.   • Elements of Watercolor (Ages 5-Adult. Adult must accompany minor)

    Study the beautifully fluid and translucent medium of watercolor. Learn watercolor fundamentals and techniques while painting a series of landscapes that you take home each class session. Students will be encouraged to develop their own unique artistic style while the class paints the same images. A $10 cash supply fee will be collected at the first class. (Please note: Class dates listed in the printed brochure have changed. New dates are November 7 through December 12. No class on November 28th.)
  • Eliminating Overwhelm (Adult)

    It’s time to defeat stress and overwhelm! Have you ever thought about how communication styles, expectations, and control are related and how they affect your daily stress levels? This course will get you thinking differently about the cause and remedies to overwhelm! Discover practical steps to relieve and minimize overwhelm and prevent it from dominating your life. You’ll walk away with a fresh perspective,feeling empowered to masterfully handle those things within your control while confidently letting go of things that aren’t yours to carry – and recognize the difference!
  • Family Pottery Night (K-Adult. Adult must accompany minor)

    Participants will create hand-built pottery pieces of their choice. Instructions will be given at the beginning of the first class and help will be provided throughout. We will glaze the pottery during the second session. Participants are encouraged to come to class with ideas and their own creativity.     Discover the primary functionalities of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive. This interactive course offers a comprehensive overview of essential skills, including document creation, spreadsheet management, basic presentation design, email organization, and cloud storage. Learn how to format text, create, and manage tables, design slide presentations, manage emails, and collaborate on documents seamlessly across devices. By the end of the course, you'll be proficient in utilizing these tools to enhance productivity and streamline your workflow. Desktop PCs are provided.
  • Music Theory & Piano (Ages 10- Adult)

    This class is designed to help potential and/or current music students become star pupils for their music teachers. Music Theory is for any student of music who desires to better understand and excel in their development of mastering their instruments of choice. It doesn’t matter which instrument you play or if you currently play at all. During this five-week course, we will focus on learning the 15 major key signatures, major & minor scales, and understanding intervals.
  • Pickleball for Adult Beginners (Adult)

    Learn the rules and skills of the fastest growing sport in America. This course is open to anyone 18 and over but does require a moderate level of athleticism and physical fitness (running, bending, squatting). Paddles and balls are provided but if you have your own paddle you are encouraged to bring it.
  • Taekwondo Karate Evening Classes 2024 (Ages 3-Adult) Monthly Auto Pay

    Taekwondo Karate Evening classes are for those ages 3 years to Adult. Taekwondo Karate develops self-confidence, self-control, proper attitude, builds respect, coordination, balance, flexibility and physical fitness. Taekwondo is suitable and safe to learn for all age groups. Some of the things that karate teaches are self-confidence, self-defense, self-control, team work, respect for others, discipline, team work, concentration and how to make friends. Classes are tailored to your age and skill level. You will stretch and exercise virtually every muscle in your body which will improve your mobility. Supplies needed for class are loose fitting clothing or white karate uniform. For more information about Taekwondo Karate, please contact Brian Bryan at 918-812-5738. Class tuition will be billed by Auto-Pay/Recurring Payments! Tuition is due by the first of each month. Tuition received after the 10th of each month will have a $20 late fee attached. Your first payment will be drafted at that time, and the next payments will be automatically withdrawn the 1st of each month after you sign up. If you need to drop the class for any reason you MUST call the Community Education office to be removed from the class. Removing your payment method from the enrollment does NOT remove you from the course. You will continue to be charged and will have a balance on your account. **Monthly class tuition, $85.00 for the first student, $80.00 for the second family member, $10.00 for the third family member, and $1.00 for each student after the third. No senior discount. Taekwondo Karate payments must go directly to Jenks Community Education. Do not give payment to the instructor or the school. Monthly after school class tuition also gives student the option to attend our evening sessions held at Southeast Elementary, see times below. Class times: Little Dragons, 3 - 6 years, 6:00 - 6:30pm; Beginner and Intermediate, 7 years & up, 6:30pm - 7:15pm; Advanced, 7:15pm - 8:00pm; Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
