About Drivers Education

Taught by certified teachers, this program offers more classroom instruction hours and safety information than other driving schools and at a lower cost. Students will learn how to safely operate a vehicle, defensive driving techniques, ways to avoid distractions, road rules, traffic laws, and the steps to take to get your driver’s permit. The course, approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Department of Public Safety, is for high school students 15 years of age and entering at least 9th grade prior to the start of class. Class completion replaces the written permit test. In addition, students will complete the “Work Zone Safe” certification course during class, which is now required by the State of Oklahoma. Instruction includes 30 in-person classroom hours and driving sessions.
