Instruction includes 30 in-person classroom hours and driving sessions. Class completion replaces the written permit test. In addition, students will complete the “Work Zone Safe” certification course during class, which is now required by the State of Oklahoma. We offer a practice drive for students taking the drive test through JCE. Instructors will run through the driving exam with students prior to them taking the driving exam. Once your driver is 15 years of age, you may go the Tag Agency with all of your paperwork and pay a fee to obtain your Learner Permit. You do not need to go to the DMV to receive your permit, but later once 16 years of age you will need to schedule your driving test through Jenks Community Education or another testing site after six months with a Learner Permit. Community Education is now offering both a practice driving test and the drive test to those who completed Drivers Education class through JCE or another public school. Ready to take your drive test?
