Now open to all eligible drivers!
Are you looking for a driving program that focuses on your teen’s safety while offering the best value? Our program, led by certified teachers, provides more classroom instruction hours and comprehensive safety information than other driving schools, all at a lower cost.
Your teen will gain essential skills such as:
- How to safely operate a vehicle
- Defensive driving techniques
- Strategies to avoid distractions
- Understanding traffic laws
- Steps to obtain a driver’s permit
Approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Service Oklahoma, our course is designed for high school students 15 years of age and older who are entering at least the 9th grade before the start of class. Instruction includes 30 in-person classroom hours and driving sessions. Class completion replaces the written permit test. In addition, students will complete the “Work Zone Safe” certification course during class, which is now required by the State of Oklahoma.
Enroll today and give your teen the confidence and knowledge they need to drive safely!
Practice Prep Drive
We offer a practice prep drive for any current Jenks student who has completed an Oklahoma-approved drivers education program and will take the Drive Test through JCE. The practice drive will help prepare the student before their test day. This does not include the actual Drive Test. Student must have a permit.
Drive Test
Skip the line! If you are an Oklahoma Learner Permit holder, or an eligible driver over the age of 18, and are ready to take the Drive Test, take it with Jenks Community Education. A retest can also be scheduled if students fail the first exam with us.
Spring 2025 Test Dates
You completed Drivers Education—now what?
Once your driver is 15 years of age, you may go the Tag Agency with all of your paperwork and pay a fee to obtain your Learner Permit. You do not need to go to the DMV to receive your permit, but later once 16 years of age you will need to schedule your drive test through Jenks Community Education or another testing site after six months with a Learner Permit. Community Education is now offering both a practice prep drive and the drive test to those who completed Drivers Education class through JCE or another public school.
Ready to take your drive test?
Once your driver is 16 years of age, has had their permit for at least 180 days (six months), and driven at least 50 additional hours (10 of those at night), they may sign up to take their test with us by visiting our website, go to another site, or the DMV to take their Oklahoma Drive Test.
