  • Adventure Zone (Summer Camp)

    Welcome to 2024 Adventure Zone Summer Camp! The sky's the limit in Creation Station! With this captivating curriculum, Campers will devise new inventions and come up with creative designs to take the ordinary to extraordinary. Campers will experience exciting session themes with enriching lessons, learn about fascinating people and complete hands-on projects with challenging twists. Campers will also stay active and engaged with outdoor and gym activities, go on fun field trips, and enjoy visits from special guests.   • American Red Cross First-time Certification Lifeguard Training Class

    The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Successful completion results in a two-year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED. The pre-test will take place in person on Friday, May 17th starting at 4:30pm. This test is to assess that students meet the prerequisites (see below). The online course will be available after the pre-test and must be completed by April 5th. The first course of water skills, CPR, and guided discussions will take place at the aquatic center beginning Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2 . NO REFUNDS OR NEW ENROLLMENTS AFTER FRIDAY, May 17th. In addition, there will be no refunds once the course has been taught. This includes participants who do not successfully complete the course, those who do not attend all scheduled class dates and times, students who do not pass course land and water skills with proficiency (according to American Red Cross requirements), and those who do not pass the written exam. This course is taught with American Red Cross Standards. Class fee includes the American Red Cross Lifeguard online course fee. Enrollment closes May 17th. PRE-REQUISITES: Must be 15 years of age by first day of class. Must be able to swim 300 yards/meters continuously using freestyle or breaststroke only while demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing. Must be able to tread water for 2 minutes using only legs. Must complete the following timed events in 1 minute, 40 seconds: (a) Starting in the water, swim 20 yards / meters, (b) Surface dive, feet-first or head-first, to a depth of 7 - 10 feet, to retrieve a 10-pound object, c) Exit the water without using a ladder or steps. Materials needed for class are: Swimsuit (one piece for women) Towel Change of clothes Snacks, drinks (no glass containers) Class size limited to the first 10 students.

    New for 2024! Aquatics classes are moving to one flat membership rate. Pay $40 a month to access any of our classes and open lap swimming. Tulsa Masters will remain $43 a month. Adults Masters Swim Workouts Join our adult workouts for fitness swimmers, triathletes, and competitive (current or former) swimmers who enjoy a group workout in the pool. ($43 per month) M/W/F 5am-7:30am | M-F 11am-1pm, M-Th 6pm-7:30pm | Saturday 8:30am-10:30am Open Lap Swimming Open lap lanes are available in the competition pool for lap swimming. M,W,F 5am-7:30am, M-F 11am-1pm, Saturday 10:30am-12pm Open lap lanes for JPS employees will be available for fitness lap swimming in the competition pool morning and midday. M,W,F 5am-7:30am, M-F 11am-1pm Saturday 10:30am-12pm | $10/month AQUA JOGGING This is a challenging fitness course that takes place in the cooler deep-water pool. Classes are M-F | 9:30-10:30am EVENING AQUA JOGGING A challenging fitness course that takes place in both deep and shallow water. Classes are M/T/Th from 5:30-6:15pm AQUA CHALLENGE This is a fast-paced aerobics class that utilizes the resistance of the water for a total body workout. Classes are M/W/F from 8-9am AQUA ARTHRITIS This refreshing class takes place in the warmer water pool and provides a slower-paced workout to help with arthritis and rehabilitating injuries. Classes are M/W/F from 10:30-11:30am and 11:45am-12:45pm **If you need to drop a monthly auto draft course for any reason you MUST call the Community Education office to be removed from the class. Removing your payment method from the enrollment does NOT remove you from the course. You will continue to be charged and will have a balance on your account.
  • Art Club with Paint (Grades 1-4)

    Create some special, spring themed paintings using acrylic on canvas & watercolor paint on watercolor paper. You will learn valuable painting tips through guidance along the way. Students will also have the opportunity to use self-expression in an abstract style.

  • BALLROOM BASICS (Ages 18+)

    Ballroom Basics is an introductory course to Ballroom Dancing. Footwork, timing, partnership connections, and lead/follow techniques will be covered as we learn the basics of the waltz, foxtrot, rumba, and swing. Class interests will be taken into consideration for additional dances such as salsa, nightclub two-step, or bachata. This fun course is designed to be taken with a partner. No previous dance experience is necessary.
  • BEGINNING TENNIS FOR KIDS (Grades K-12)

    Discover the joy, fun, and challenge of learning this lifelong sport. Students will learn the basic strokes and strategies of tennis. A supply fee of $10 cash will be collected by the instructor at the first class.
  • BEGINNING WHEEL AND OPEN POTTERY STUDIO (Ages 15-adult)

    Participants will learn basic skills and tips needed to throw cylinders on a pottery wheel, hand-build vessels and other techniques for clay art. Students will also learn the basics of glazing bisque-fired pieces. A $30 cash supply fee will be collected by the instructor at the first class.
  • BUILDING UNITY THROUGH SOCIAL SKILLS (BUSS)

    Get on the BUSS! This social skills class for adults with developmental disabilities focuses on fostering effective communication, building relationships, and navigating social interactions confidently through game play, dancing, crafts, and more. Participants will learn valuable techniques to enhance their social abilities in a screen-free environment so they can thrive in various social settings. Parents are welcome to stay and play or take some time off for themselves! Students will attend a dance and even meet at a community coffee shop to practice their new skills.

    This course covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Learn about starting a babysitting business, water hazards, infant feeding, hand washing, choking, and some basic first aid and CPR. This class is offered through the American Safety and Health Institute. Students will receive a workbook and a two-year certification card upon completion of the course.   • CROSS-TRAINING FOR CYCLISTS AND RUNNERS (Ages 10-adult)

    If you are a fellow cyclist or runner, you have likely experienced pain or tightness in your neck, back and/or hamstrings. In this class, you will learn movement patterns to rebalance your muscles and undo the damage of repetitive motion. By utilizing Pilates and corrective exercise methodologies, students will learn how to open hip flexors, maximize hamstrings vs quads, and relieve pain and tension. Mats will be provided. Bring a large towel or foam roller if available. Contact the instructor for more information and/or to relay any current limitations - Lauren Barker at 918-407-6097

  • Collaboration Days & NSD

    Collaboration and Non-School Day care is provided to our currently enrolled Adventure Club Program families at an additional cost. Enrollment for each day will begin approximately 2 weeks prior, and will stay open for limited days and only while space is available. Daily hours are 7:00am-5:30pm and students must arrive by 9:00 AM to be admitted. Enrollment is required to attend each NSD/Collaboration day, drop-in attendance will not be accepted. A one-time, yearly $25 nonrefundable activity fee per child is due at the time of enrollment. Pre-K students tuition is $42 per day, and K-6th is $37 per day. Students will need to bring a lunch, drink/water bottle and two snacks each day. *2023-24 site location is West Elementary.
