  • BALLROOM BASICS (Ages 18+)

    Ballroom Basics is an introductory course to Ballroom Dancing. Footwork, timing, partnership connections, and lead/follow techniques will be covered as we learn the basics of the waltz, foxtrot, rumba, and swing. Class interests will be taken into consideration for additional dances such as salsa, nightclub two-step, or bachata. This fun course is designed to be taken with a partner. No previous dance experience is necessary.
  • BEGINNING WHEEL AND OPEN POTTERY STUDIO (Ages 15-adult)

    Participants will learn basic skills and tips needed to throw cylinders on a pottery wheel, hand-build vessels and other techniques for clay art. Students will also learn the basics of glazing bisque-fired pieces. A $30 cash supply fee will be collected by the instructor at the first class.
  • BUILDING UNITY THROUGH SOCIAL SKILLS (BUSS)

    Get on the BUSS! This social skills class for adults with developmental disabilities focuses on fostering effective communication, building relationships, and navigating social interactions confidently through game play, dancing, crafts, and more. Participants will learn valuable techniques to enhance their social abilities in a screen-free environment so they can thrive in various social settings. Parents are welcome to stay and play or take some time off for themselves! Students will attend a dance and even meet at a community coffee shop to practice their new skills.

    This course covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Learn about starting a babysitting business, water hazards, infant feeding, hand washing, choking, and some basic first aid and CPR. This class is offered through the American Safety and Health Institute. Students will receive a workbook and a two-year certification card upon completion of the course.   • CROSS-TRAINING FOR CYCLISTS AND RUNNERS (Ages 10-adult)

    If you are a fellow cyclist or runner, you have likely experienced pain or tightness in your neck, back and/or hamstrings. In this class, you will learn movement patterns to rebalance your muscles and undo the damage of repetitive motion. By utilizing Pilates and corrective exercise methodologies, students will learn how to open hip flexors, maximize hamstrings vs quads, and relieve pain and tension. Mats will be provided. Bring a large towel or foam roller if available. Contact the instructor for more information and/or to relay any current limitations - Lauren Barker at 918-407-6097

  • Collaboration Days & NSD

    Collaboration and Non-School Day care is provided to our currently enrolled Adventure Club Program families at an additional cost. Enrollment for each day will begin approximately 2 weeks prior, and will stay open for limited days and only while space is available. Daily hours are 7:00am-5:30pm and students must arrive by 9:00 AM to be admitted. Enrollment is required to attend each NSD/Collaboration day, drop-in attendance will not be accepted. A one-time, yearly $25 nonrefundable activity fee per child is due at the time of enrollment. Pre-K students tuition is $42 per day, and K-6th is $37 per day. Students will need to bring a lunch, drink/water bottle and two snacks each day. *2023-24 site location is West Elementary.   • DRAW, PAINT, CREATE (Incoming grades 5-6)

    Students will learn about master artists, different artistic styles, and cultural art traditions from around the world. Art mediums such as colored pencil, clay, and paint will be used to create portfolio pieces students will take home upon completion.

    Taught by certified teachers, this program offers more classroom instruction hours and safety information than other driving schools and at a lower cost. Students will learn how to safely operate a vehicle, defensive driving techniques, ways to avoid distractions, road rules, traffic laws, and the steps to take to get your driver’s permit. The course, approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Department of Public Safety, is for high school students 15 years of age and entering at least 9th grade prior to the start of class. Class completion replaces the written permit test. In addition, students will complete the “Work Zone Safe” certification course during class, which is now required by the State of Oklahoma. Instruction includes 30 in-person classroom hours and driving sessions.   • Drivers Education - Driving Lessons Only

    If your student would benefit from extra time behind the wheel, this course is for you! Driving lessons only - offering 6 hours of additional behind-the-wheel time for Jenks Public Schools students. Driving times will be set up by the instructor after enrollment. Students must have completed Drivers Education and have their certificate of completion. All other students must already have their drivers permit.
  • Drivers Education - Practice Driving Evaluation Only (JCE Car Use)

    Practice Driving Evaluation ONLY Students must be enrolled in Jenks Public Schools and have their learners permit to enroll. JCE Car use is required for practice driving evaluations. Instructors will run through the driving exam with students prior to taking the test. This registration does NOT include the driving exam. That registration is separate and must be taken on a different day. Students cannot take the practice evaluation and driving test on the same day. A JCE driving instructor will contact parents with more details after registration.
  • Drivers Education Driving Exam Only - MAY

    Jenks Community Education - Driving Examination For current JPS students. We now offer Driving Exams for currently enrolled JPS students or students that have taken Drivers Education through JCE. Students must have had their learners permit for six months. All applicants must not have received any tickets or been at fault in any car accidents within their probation period of six months. If under 18, student must have completed the Work Zone Safety course online. If student did not take Drivers Education through JCE a copy of their certificate of completion is required to take the driving exam with JCE. $70 Driving Test (Personal car use) Additional $20 charge for students who need to use the JCE car for the driving test. (This is a separate charge and must be added to your cart separately from the $70 driving test charge) Each day will have 3 time slots - 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm. After enrollment, a JCE driving instructor will reach out to set a time for the test. The time slots will be on a first come, first served basis. If the date is still open, at least one time is still available.
