    If you are a fellow cyclist or runner, you have likely experienced pain or tightness in your neck, back and/or hamstrings. In this class, you will learn movement patterns to rebalance your muscles and undo the damage of repetitive motion. By utilizing Pilates and corrective exercise methodologies, students will learn how to open hip flexors, maximize hamstrings vs quads, and relieve pain and tension. Mats will be provided.   • DRAW, PAINT, CREATE (Incoming grades 5-6)

    Students will learn about master artists, different artistic styles, and cultural art traditions from around the world. Art mediums such as colored pencil, clay, and paint will be used to create portfolio pieces students will take home upon completion.
  • Drivers Education - Driving Lessons Only

    If your student would benefit from extra time behind the wheel, this course is for you! Driving lessons only - offering 6 hours of additional behind-the-wheel time for Jenks Public Schools students. Driving times will be set up by the instructor after enrollment. Students must have completed Drivers Education and have their certificate of completion. All other students must already have their drivers permit.
  • Drivers Education - Practice Driving Evaluation Only (JCE Car Use)

    Practice Driving Evaluation ONLY Students must be enrolled in Jenks Public Schools and have their learners permit to enroll. JCE Car use is required for practice driving evaluations. Instructors will run through the driving exam with students prior to taking the test. This registration does NOT include the driving exam. That registration is separate and must be taken on a different day. Students cannot take the practice evaluation and driving test on the same day. A JCE driving instructor will contact parents with more details after registration.
  • Drivers Education Driving Exam Only - MAY

    Jenks Community Education - Driving Examination For current JPS students. We now offer Driving Exams for currently enrolled JPS students or students that have taken Drivers Education through JCE. Students must have had their learners permit for six months. All applicants must not have received any tickets or been at fault in any car accidents within their probation period of six months. If under 18, student must have completed the Work Zone Safety course online. If student did not take Drivers Education through JCE a copy of their certificate of completion is required to take the driving exam with JCE. $70 Driving Test (Personal car use) Additional $20 charge for students who need to use the JCE car for the driving test. (This is a separate charge and must be added to your cart separately from the $70 driving test charge) Each day will have 3 time slots - 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm. After enrollment, a JCE driving instructor will reach out to set a time for the test. The time slots will be on a first come, first served basis. If the date is still open, at least one time is still available.

Class completion replaces the written permit test. In addition, students will complete the “Work Zone Safe” certification course during class, which is now required by the State of Oklahoma. Instruction includes 30 in-person classroom hours and driving sessions.   • EAST INTERMEDIATE EARLY BACK ACADEMY (Incoming 5th Grade & New 6th Grade Students to the District)

    Students will participate in fun, enriching activities while being introduced to their new school. They will learn how to find sessions, open their locker, and stay organized while meeting teachers and making new friends. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Enjoy daily snacks and a pizza lunch on the last day. Enrollment is limited.
  • EE Taekwondo Karate-After School Monthly Auto Pay 2024 (Grades K-4)

    Taekwondo Karate develops self-confidence, self-control, proper attitude, builds respect, coordination, balance, flexibility and physical fitness. Taekwondo is suitable and safe to learn for all age groups. Some of the things that karate teaches are self-confidence, self-defense, self-control, team work, respect for others, discipline, team work, concentration and how to make friends. Classes are tailored to your age and skill level. You will stretch and exercise virtually every muscle in your body which will improve your mobility. Supplies needed for class are loose fitting clothing or white karate uniform. Tuition will be automatically withdrawn the 1st of each month. If you need to drop the class for any reason you MUST call the Community Education office to be removed from the class. Removing your payment method from the enrollment does NOT remove you from the course. You will continue to be charged and will have a balance on your account. Tuition received after the 10th of each month will have a $20 late fee attached. ***Monthly class tuition, $85.00 for the first student, $80.00 for the second family member, $10.00 for the third family member, and $1.00 for each student after the third.     Coyote has a razor-sharp wit, but he's a little confused about what he sees in the sky. Join this amusing character (adapted from American Indian oral traditions) in a fast-paced and fun show that explores lunar phases, eclipses, and other puzzles. The target audience age for Earth, Moon, and Sun is 4 years to adult. This show is held at the Jenks Planetarium, Jenks High School, Dr. Kirby L.     The Cassini Satellite recently ended its tour of the majestic planet of Saturn. The decade long mission uncovered mysteries never before seen and gives us an insight to be applied to the entire solar system. General Seating. 1 show. Doors to the Planetarium open approximately 30 minutes prior to listed show time. Tickets will not be issued at time of purchase. You do not need to show proof of purchase. Swimming is a lifelong activity and knowing how to swim is the first step. From learning how to blow bubbles to mastering the strokes, your child will gain the skills and confidence to enjoy the water and be safe. Give your child an early start by signing up for our American Red Cross swim lessons program where we provide water safety information as well as swim instructions. At the start of each session, we will skill test each child to make sure they are placed in the correct level. Please be aware that your child may be reassigned to a more appropriate class if necessary. In level two through four no more than four to five swimmers will be placed with an instructor per forty-five-minute session. Space is limited so enroll soon! Cost is $160.00 per child. Give your child an early start by signing up for our American Red Cross swim lessons program where we provide water safety information as well as swim instructions. At the start of each session, we will skill test each child to make sure they are placed in the correct level. Please be aware that your child may be reassigned to a more appropriate class if necessary. In level two through four no more than four to five swimmers will be placed with an instructor per forty-five-minute session. Space is limited so enroll soon! Cost is $160.00 per child. This class is for level one only; however, we have provided a description of each level offered at our aquatic center for future reference. Please read through the level descriptions as you will be required to choose a level for your swimmer upon checkout. At the completion of each level, your child should have successfully mastered the skills described below: LEVEL ONE - Enters water independently using steps, ladder and pool sides. Swimmer can swim 5 yards without assistance on their front and back, followed with submerging underwater exhaling and resurfacing (BOBS) five times. The swimmer then demonstrates a proper pool exit independently. LEVEL TWO - Swimmers are capable of treading and floating independently. Demonstrates independent swimming on front and back for 10 yards or more and then exiting the water independently (swim-float-swim-exit). LEVEL THREE - Is comfortable with jumping into deep water and recovering via treading and floating. Capable of completing full lengths using different stroke techniques and able to switch strokes midway through the pool length. LEVEL FOUR - Performs feet first entry into deep water, swim 25 yards using the front crawl, change direction and then swim 25 yards with elementary backstroke. Swim breaststroke for 15 yards and transition into the back crawl for 14 yards. Submerge and swim 5 body lengths, resurface and exit the water. At this level swimmers will show proficiency in breaststroke, back crawl, butterfly and front crawl, as well as elementary backstroke and sidestroke skills.
