My name is Rachel Gunther. I’m going into my 17th year in education, all within Jenks Public Schools. I am certified in Health and Physical Education and NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program). I’ve taught Physical Education for twelve years and was recently an assistant principal for four years, before deciding to step back into the classroom to continue doing what I love.
My goal is to provide all participants with opportunities to be physically active, learn something new, feel challenged, and socialize with friends. In iPlay, this is in the form of a fun and engaging learning environment where they are participating in their favorite PE games and activities. In Archery, this is provided through a safe, structured learning environment. They will be challenged and compete against themselves to continue to improve in their skills. The best part of teaching Archery is when you see a student succeed and ultimately find their niche.
When students walk away from my classes, I hope they feel they learned, grew in their skills and understanding and had FUN! Ideally, they want to sign up again!
