Camp Invention® is coming back to Jenks! This inspiring experience has received rave reviews from campers, parents, and teachers, and now it is returning with an all-new program, WONDER! Give your young innovator an inspiring and action-packed summer adventure! All new, hands-on challenges will spark their curiosity and build their confidence as they jump into limitless STEM fun with opportunities to imagine, plan, experiment and create. This course will cover all ACT sections: Science Reasoning, Mathematics and English/Reading/Writing. The sessions are ideal for students seeking to raise their ACT scores and for those students taking the ACT test for the first time. This course includes two 3-hour meetings. Each meeting dedicates one hour to each content area: Science, Math and English. Please bring a calculator, Highlighter and pencil to class. Baron's ACT Study Book and test materials are included in class fee. 2 Classes PRE-REQUISITE: Student must be in Algebra I or a higher math.

This is a unique and fun filled sports based fitness class. Students will learn the fundamentals of nine major ball sports including baseball, basketball, hockey, volleyball, soccer, football, tennis, lacrosse, and golf while incorporating proper stretching, cardio, muscle tone, agility drills and hand-eye coordination. Students will explore and use different types of media and expand their creativity. They will paint a canvas, sew with felt, create with clay, and build plaster sculptures. There will be a $15 supply fee collected by the instructor on the first day of camp. Art Exploration Camp is for incoming 3rd through 5th grade students. 4 classes

Let your creativity go wild as you learn the techniques of mosaics, chalk pastels, canvas art and Batik fabric dyeing. Students will take home creations at the end of the week. A $25.00 cash supply fee will be collected by the instructor at the first class. 4 Classes

This course covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Learn about starting a babysitting business, water hazards, infant feeding, hand washing, choking, some basic first aid, CPR and more. Child and Babysitting Safety is offered through a nationally recognized organization called the American Safety and Health Institute. Students will receive a workbook and a two year certification card upon completion of course. 1 class. "I loved this class! It was professional and easy to understand. Experience different cultures and learn to make and taste dishes from around the world. This is a hands-on cooking class where students will practice skills used in the kitchen and prepare food from Italy, Mexico, and China. Students will bring the recipes home with them. 3 Classes

This is a one week academy designed to introduce students with an interest in the EMS system or medical field to training in various medical emergencies. Throughout this week long course, students will learn about cardiology, neurology, respiratory, and trauma emergencies. Upon completion, each student will earn their CPR, AED and STOP THE BLEED certifications and take home a medical kit full of tools of the trade. This course is designed for incoming freshman through seniors. 4 Classes

This is a one week academy designed to introduce students with an interest in the EMS system or medical field to training in various medical emergencies. Throughout this week-long course, students will learn about cardiology, neurology, respiratory, and trauma emergencies. Upon completion, each student will earn their CPR, AED and STOP THE BLEED certifications and take home a medical kit full of tools of the trade. This course is designed for incoming freshman through seniors. 4 Classes

Students will learn to drum basic rhythms and simple beats to songs and games! This will be a great time to experiment with percussion instruments outside of drums. The second half of class will be circle games and movement. 4 Sessions

Students will explore acting, singing and dancing from musicals such as Mary Poppins, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move around in. 4 Sessions *It is recommended to bring a water bottle and snack

As you continue playing, you will learn the beginning mechanics of playing your guitar that will enable you to fully enjoy its beautiful sound. Focus on understanding the instrument, learn to read guitar music charts and tabs, discover additional chords and pick and strum patterns to apply in popular songs. Bring an acoustic OR electric guitar to class. 4 Classes
