  • Intermediate Cross Country Team (Grades 5-6)

    Cross country class is a great way for students to discover the joy of running. We’ll focus on running form, proper warm-ups and cool-downs, and building endurance, all while encouraging perseverance and team spirit. Runners will even have the chance to participate in one or two optional cross country meets during the season. Comfortable running shoes are recommended, and don’t forget to bring water each week. A team t-shirt will be available for purchase. PLEASE NOTE: The original class start date of Aug. 25 has been changed to September 4. No class September 11. The last day of class is now October 9.
  • Jenks Chess Club (Grades 1-12)

    This class is the perfect place to sharpen your skills and enjoy the game of chess with other students. Beginners will learn the fundamentals, including piece movement, rules, and basic checkmates, while more experienced players will dive into advanced strategies and tactics.     For grades 4-6 The M&M Volleyball Academy is designed to be a fun way for boys and girls to learn and enhance volleyball skills in a non-team-based program.     Join this high-energy Taekwondo class where kids build strength, confidence, and self-discipline while having fun! Students learn self-defense, improve coordination, and practice respect and focus in a supportive environment. As they move through belt levels, they gain pride and a sense of achievement that carries into everyday life. It’s a great way to grow physically and mentally! Evening karate classes at Southeast Elementary on Tuesdays and Thursdays are included in the class fee. Tuition is set up on a monthly recurring basis, auto drafted on the 1st of each month. If you need to drop the class for any reason you MUST call the Community Education office to be removed from the class. Removing your payment method from the enrollment does NOT remove you from the course. You will continue to be charged and will have a balance on your account. **Monthly class tuition, $85.00 for the first student, $80.00 for the second family member, $10.00 for the third family member, and $1.00 for each student after the third. Through fun exercises and creative challenges, they will explore their creativity on stage, work collaboratively with peers, and develop the tools to bring powerful performances to life. The semester will culminate in a free showcase performance, where students will present their newly refined acting abilities for friends and family, celebrating their progress and passion for the stage! Tuition is set up on a monthly recurring basis, auto drafted on the 1st of each month.     Explore STEM in a fun, hands-on class! Students will take on challenges in areas such as computer science, coding, robotics, mechanics and structures, and 3D graphic design. Students will dive into these areas through Tinkercad 3D Design Studio®, K'Nex®, Zometool®, Lego Spike®, DASH Robots®, Sphero Mini Robotics®, Book Creator®, Stop Motion Pro®, and so much more. You won't want to miss this class. Students will be sent by classroom teachers to go directly to the Northwest STEM Lab at dismissal time.
