    Designed for co-ed beginners and advanced players, lessons will focus on defensive fundamentals, including movement, platform and overhand techniques, and defensive angles. Players will improve footwork, speed, and out-of-system second contact techniques. Emphasis will also be placed on serve receive, digging, and reading the game.     Designed for co-ed beginners and advanced players, lessons will focus on setting fundamentals, hand position/finish, and setter-specific footwork. Players will also learn setter transition techniques, in- and out-of-system play, and various offensive sets and tempos. Advanced players will further develop jump setting technique.   • Messy with Clay (Grades K-2)

    Calling all young artists! Get ready to dive into the squishy world of clay in this super fun class! We're gearing up for some seriously messy masterpieces as we explore the cool things you can create with clay. So, if you're ready to mold, shape, and sculpt your way to awesomeness, then join us for an adventure where you can turn every blob of clay into a work of art! K-2 students will meet instructor in the lobby. Immediately after class, parents will pick up students in the center oval.
  • Northwest Taekwondo Karate - After School (Grades K-4)

    Develop self-confidence, self-control, proper attitude, respect, coordination, balance, flexibility, and physical fitness in this fun and enriching class. Evening karate classes on Tuesday and Thursday are included in class fee and will begin January 7 at Southeast Elem Gym. Little Dragons 3-6 years, 6-6:30pm; Beginner and Intermediate 7 years & Up, 6:30-7:15pm; Advanced, 7:15-8pm. Tuition is set up on a monthly recurring basis, auto drafted on the 1st of each month. If you need to drop the class for any reason you MUST call the Community Education office to be removed from the class. Removing your payment method from the enrollment does NOT remove you from the course. You will continue to be charged and will have a balance on your account. We will pick up aftercare students from the cafeteria and all other students will be sent directly to the Music Room immediately after school. Our class lasts 45 minutes. Once class is over, we will walk the aftercare kids back to the cafeteria and all other students out to the curb to meet their parents. **Monthly class tuition, $85.00 for the first student, $80.00 for the second family member, $10.00 for the third family member, and $1.00 for each student after the third. No senior discount. Taekwondo Karate payments must go directly to Jenks Community Education. Do not give payment to the instructor or the school.

    Rising Performers is designed for 5th and 6th graders who are ready to take their acting journey to the next level! In this dynamic class, students will build their skills and confidence through character development, scene work, and advanced acting techniques. Through fun exercises and creative challenges, they will explore their creativity on stage, work collaboratively with peers, and develop the tools to bring powerful performances to life. The semester will culminate in a free showcase performance, where students will present their newly refined acting abilities for friends and family, celebrating their progress and passion for the stage! Drop-Off Procedure Direct Transition: On their designated class day, students should go directly from their regular class to the theatre classroom. Attendance Check: A quick roll call will be conducted at the start of each class to ensure all students are present. Pick-Up Procedure Escorted Dismissal: Immediately after class, the instructor will bring all students to the designated car pickup line at their school. Authorized Pickup Only: Only individuals authorized by parents or guardians will be allowed to pick up students.

    Superintendent's Scholar Program 2025 Click here for more information about this program. Please enroll early to ensure placement in the class. Enrollment ends May 9, 2025 by 5pm. Enrollment is by invitation only to selected JHS students and class space is limited. Students will meet from 9am - 11:30am each weekday from June 9th - 25th, 2025. In addition, participants will attend three Saturday sessions on September 13th, 20th, and 27th 2025 from 9-11:30am for review prior to the 2025 PSAT.   • Trojan Show Choir (Grades 5-6)

    This spring, students in 5th and 6th grade can join an exciting choir experience full of music, movement, and collaboration! They’ll focus on mastering vocal techniques, tackling challenging songs, and singing in harmony. With a mix of choreography and teamwork, this dynamic group encourages creative expression and peer connections. Students will perform at an end-of-year showcase for family and friends. Whether experienced or new to singing, it’s a fantastic opportunity to grow, perform, and have fun! At school dismissal, students will walk with bus riders to the gym and then proceed to room 112, Mrs. Deaton´s music room. After choir, students should be picked up in the car line at the front of West Intermediate no later than 3:35.
