From learning the basics like blowing bubbles and floating to mastering all the swim strokes—we cover it all at your child’s own pace.
There will be a short liability form to fill out upon arrival. Parents will remain in the lobby or bleachers, and swimmers are taken to be analyzed by the JTSC Coaches. The water time for each swimmer will only be a few minutes.
In order to be eligible to make the team, we are looking for swimmers with a basic knowledge of all four strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly). Speed and endurance levels are considerations for more experienced swimmers, but we are more interested in good technique.
After all tryouts have concluded, there will be a short deliberation period, and then all participants will be notified. There are several different levels within our club, as well as several additional introductory programs here at the Aquatic Center. Your notification email will tell you what group will best fit your swimmer. Swimmers that make the competitive team will be given a Trial Week to make sure it’s a good fit before any financial obligation is required.
There is a $25 fee for the tryout. Additional details about the fee structure for our program will be part of the club information packet provided when you arrive.
