Detective Science Camp (Incoming grades 4–6)

Enrichment for Youth / All Summer Programs / STEM -
Summer 2026

In this engaging class, students explore chemistry, physics, and forensic science to crack codes, mix reactions, and investigate real-world mysteries. They’ll learn espionage-style ciphers and create invisible ink messages. Budding chemists will conduct exciting “Boom, Splat, Fizz” experiments, including magnetic slime with iron oxide and erupting volcano cakes. In the Water Lab, students tackle the Water Filter Challenge using sand, gravel, and charcoal, and create colorful layered density drinks. The discovery continues with biotech and optics as participants build a pool noodle periscope to explore light reflection and construct edible DNA models using licorice and marshmallows—an interactive experience full of creativity, science, and fun.
