Instructional Design (Adult)

Enrichment for Adults and Families / Personal Interest/Hobbies -
Spring 2026

Instructional design is for anyone interested in learning how to teach with impact. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the foundations of creating effective educational materials—from applying adult learning theory to collaborating with subject-matter experts and adapting lessons for different learning styles. You’ll experiment with popular authoring, presentation, and collaboration tools used by today’s instructional designers. By the final class, you'll apply your new skills to build a mock e-course featuring objectives, interactive activities, knowledge checks, a final assessment, and more.
