Jenks Community Education

Embark on a 4-day journey into drone technology! This camp introduces young innovators to aerial robotics, where they'll design, build, and program drones. Campers will learn flight mechanics, engineering, and drone assembly while gaining STEM skills through hands-on lessons and challenges. They'll work in teams to solve problems, code custom flight patterns, and navigate obstacle courses. This class is a perfect blend of teamwork, creativity, and cutting-edge technology in a fun and engaging environment! Please have your student bring a sack lunch to class.

Students will have opportunities to explore, learn, create, and work in areas such as computer graphics, robotics, and digital communication. They’ll be using building kits and software such as K’Nex®, Zometool®, Book Creator®, LEGO® SpikeTM, stop motion animation, Tinkercad® 3D design and print, Sphero® and more. Students may bring a sack lunch and a water bottle to class.

Stop Motion is a fun and creative way to tell stories and make animations. Young storytellers will have the opportunity to explore stop motion using a variety of materials including LEGO®, Stikbots®, clay, candy, or items from home. We will also explore features such as green screen, sound effects, lighting, layering, and more!
