For all Students Seeking First-Time Credit, Improving a Passing Grade, and Non-JPS Students Making up Credit - Online and In-Person


If you have questions regarding which courses your student should/can take, contact their school counselor prior to enrollment. JCE is only able to give 1 credit hour during summer school. You may combine two .5 credit courses, but please pay attention to the flyer - some courses require two semesters and are 1 full credit.

Cost is $160 for half credit (one semester) and $320 for one credit (two semesters) if you enroll by April 26. If you enroll after April 26, cost is $185/$370.


THE COURSE SAYS WAITLIST. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? How do I enroll my student: (read below)

When attempting to enroll your student in this course you will see that it is waitlisted. That is okay. You are in the correct place! Enroll your student with the 'enroll now' option listed on this course page. You will be taken to a page that will inform you that the course you are selecting is full. Select the option to enroll on the waitlist. Select your student. Accept the terms and conditions. You will now be on the questionnaire page. Please fill out the questionnaire and correctly select the course that your student is planning to take in summer school. (if your student is doing two semesters, you will need to do two separate enrollments) Save a payment method. When your student has been approved by their school counselor, they will be moved into the appropriate class. JPS students will not be moved into a course without counselor approval. Payment will not be taken until students are moved into the appropriate summer school class. You will receive an email when your student has been approved. They will then be moved into the course and payment will be processed. If there are any issues with payment, students will be moved back to the waitlist until payment can be processed.

  • Students may enroll in only one credit total during Summer School.
  • Non-JPS students will need their own laptops. JPS students will bring their Chromebook
  • Online courses DO NOT count for NCAA eligibility (college athletics) except for Financial Literacy
  • If your student is on free & reduced lunch please fill out this form before or after enrollment 
  • If your JPS student received an F and needs to make up credit, you are in the wrong class. Access that enrollment here.
  • If your student is a member of JHS NAE - please fill out this form and send to Linda. DO NOT ENROLL ON THIS COURSE. Your NAE form will be sent to JCE and we will enroll your student. If you enroll before filling out the NAE form, you will be unable to access the funds provided for summer school. NAE is unable to reimburse those who enroll without the form
