Early Childhood Center
The Jenks Early Childhood Center (ECC) offers quality child care enrichment programs for children from six weeks to three years of age. Families do not need to reside in Jenks to participate in these programs.
First Steps Academy provides a safe and nurturing environment where children are not only cared for, but encouraged to explore, play and prepare for lifelong learning. This full-time, tuition-based program is for children from six weeks to two years of age. Hours are 7:00am-6:00pm (5:30pm in the summer).
Jenks Preschool provides a secure, enriching environment where caring teachers help children develop optimally during the crucial early years. This program, for children three years old by September 1, is offered at the ECC and Jenks West Elementary, with 9- and 12-month options. Hours for the 12-month option are 7:00am-6:00pm (5:30pm in the summer). Hours for the 9-month option are 8:45am-3:00pm.
The Parents as Teachers program provides the information and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life. Personal visits from parent educators offer effective parenting techniques and educational strategies. Stay and Play sessions are designed to provide enriching activities for children and their parents. (For parents of children from birth to three years of age.)
