TROJAN YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB

Folkstyle

The Trojan Wrestling Club is designed to develop strong, confident, and disciplined young athletes. Boys and girls grades K–6 will learn the fundamentals of wrestling in a supportive, energetic, and fun environment. Through age-appropriate drills, technique training, and guided practice, athletes will build skills such as takedowns, positioning, and balance while improving strength, coordination, and agility.

More than a sport, wrestling teaches important life lessons. Our program emphasizes discipline, respect, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Young wrestlers will learn how to set goals, overcome challenges, support their teammates, and carry themselves with confidence both on and off the mat. Coaches serve as positive role models, reinforcing strong values and encouraging leadership among all athletes.

Whether your child is brand-new to the sport or continuing to grow as a wrestler, our mission is to help them develop character, skills, and a love for healthy competition. Join us and watch your athlete learn, grow, and succeed—one practice at a time.

Registration Costs

Registration is $70 per month. In addition to monthly registration, students must have a membership with USA Wrestling. It is recommended for athletes to purchase the Full Membership to cover both folkstyle and freestyle seasons ($65 annually). OKUSA Wrestling is the local branch of USA Wrestling.

Students are not required to participate in tournaments. A wrestling singlet is required for tournament participation. Singlets can be purchased through the Trojan Shop for $50.

Freestyle & Greco

Is your child curious about wrestling? The Trojan Freestyle and Greco Wrestling program, for 5th–12th grade boys and girls, is the perfect place for young athletes to build skills, confidence, and strength in a fun and supportive environment. Whether they’re brand‑new to the sport or already have experience, they will have a blast being part of the Trojan team. Practices take place in the Jenks HS Wrestling Room in the Frank Herald Fieldhouse (enter through the east door).
