The AARP Smart Driver course is the nation’s first refresher course specifically designed for drivers age 50 and older. This course will help you refresh your driving skills and your knowledge of the rules, and hazards of the road, and may reduce your chances of receiving a traffic violation or getting into an accident. This class will also cover the effects of medication on driving, how to reduce driver distractions, and how to identify and use advance technology in newer vehicles. We will also address state-specific rules in 19 key areas, including construction zones, child safety seats, school buses, cellphone use and more. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle. Class will take a 1-hour lunch break. The class fee will be collected by the instructor at the beginning of class . $20 for AARP members (Must show membership card), $25 for non-members.
