    Interested in improving your babysitting skills? Come learn child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Topics will include how to start a babysitting business, water hazards, infant feeding, hand washing, choking, and basic first aid and CPR.     We're going to unlock the secrets of sculpting with clay, and trust me, it's going to be epic. Have you ever wondered what it's like to use a pottery wheel? Well, wonder no more because in this class you will spin a clay masterpiece. The first four classes will be creating with clay and the final class will be glazing. If you're up for an adventure filled with creativity, laughter, and lots of clay, then this class is for you!

    This sport combines many of the same playing elements of other paddle sports, making it easy for beginners to catch on. But don’t let the simplicity fool you because it often develops into a fast-paced, competitive game. Paddles are available for use, but if you have your own, please bring it.
  • Co-ed Youth Pickleball Camp (Incoming grades 5–8)

    This camp offers a fun and supportive environment where participants will learn the fundamentals of pickleball, including essential skills such as serving, rallying, and game strategies. Through instructional sessions, drills, and friendly competitions, campers will enhance their physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This camp promises active play, laughter, and lasting memories on the court!

    Collaboration and Non-School Day care is a separate program provided to our Adventure Club Program families at an additional cost. Enrollment periods are below. Should we come close to reaching enrollment capacity for any dates, notification will be sent to families. Students attending WI, WE and NWE will attend care at West Elementary. Students attending EI, EE and SE will attend care at East Elementary. Daily hours are 7:15am-5:30pm and students must arrive by 9:00am to be admitted. Enrollment is required to attend each NSD/Collaboration day. Drop-in attendance will not be accepted. A one-time, yearly $25 nonrefundable activity fee per child is due at the time of enrollment.   • Comic Book Creators Camp (Incoming grades 3–6)

    BAM! POW! ZAP! In this camp, young artists will become authors and illustrators as they design their own original comic books. Campers will create characters, develop storylines, learn panel layout, experiment with expressive drawing, and bring their stories to life from cover to final page. This camp is perfect for students who love drawing, storytelling, superheroes, graphic novels, or creating their own imaginative worlds. Each artist will leave with a completed comic book to share and enjoy. Drop off and pick up at JWE building A curbside. Students may bring a water bottle and nut-free snack each day. All supplies are included.

    As our ancients learned, the sky is not just a thing of beauty–it’s the ruler for the position of our planet. Understanding how our planet is aligned with the distant stars allows anyone to use the sky as a compass, a calendar and a clock. Come learn how to use the sky yourself! The target audience for Compass, Calendar, and Clock is ages 8 and up. This show is held at the Jenks Planetarium, Jenks High School, Dr. Kirby A. Lehman Center for the Study of Math and Science Center, 3rd Floor. Elevator available. Doors to the Planetarium open approximately 30 minutes prior to listed show time. Tickets will not be issued at time of purchase. You do not need to show proof of purchase. Your name will appear on a list at the door and checked off upon entry to the show. Boot Scootin’ Boogie, Reggae Cowboy, Southside Shuffle, Five-Step, Head Over Boots are the current plan, and we will take requests for others dances as well.     Get ready to relax, create, and celebrate spring. Students will learn to make colorful flower coasters, an adorable bunny keychain, and a simple yet charming potholder. To spark your imagination, the instructor will share some of her own creative projects, showing just how much fun it can be to make handmade gifts for friends, family, or simply for yourself! A $20 cash supply fee, collected at the first class, covers hooks and yarn that students will keep.
  • Detective Science Camp (Incoming grades 4–6)

    In this engaging class, students explore chemistry, physics, and forensic science to crack codes, mix reactions, and investigate real-world mysteries. They’ll learn espionage-style ciphers and create invisible ink messages. Budding chemists will conduct exciting “Boom, Splat, Fizz” experiments, including magnetic slime with iron oxide and erupting volcano cakes. In the Water Lab, students tackle the Water Filter Challenge using sand, gravel, and charcoal, and create colorful layered density drinks. The discovery continues with biotech and optics as participants build a pool noodle periscope to explore light reflection and construct edible DNA models using licorice and marshmallows—an interactive experience full of creativity, science, and fun.
